:]

No guilt in life, no fear in death,
This is the power of Christ in me;
From life's first cry to final breath.
Jesus commands my destiny.
No power of hell, no scheme of man,
Can ever pluck me from His hand;
Till He returns or calls me home,
Here in the power of Christ I'll stand.

Mohawk day.

Roundabouts saturday/Sunday night I get a text from my friend, Hedge, saying he wants to a Mohawk. Alrighty, I said, and so we had an adventure in hair today and played with "electric buzz thingies" (clippers) and dyed the tips red. Hedge is now rockin' the hawk, and it's pretty amazing.

If you get the chance you can see him rock the hawk tomorrow(5/25/10) at a benifit show held at the Cornerstone Christian School. Suggested donation is $5.00, but they say paying just $1.00 and coming is better than not coming at all. The show starts at 6:30, and features the bands: pain the shore, visitor rebuilt, and a couple various single artists. Come, support these cool kids and the abilities God has given them.

Nonsensical

A Quote ~

“I like nonsense, it wakes up the brain cells. Fantasy is a necessary ingredient in living, It's a way of looking at life through the wrong end of a telescope. Which is what I do, And that enables you to laugh at life's realities.”
Dr. Seuss quote

fun&games

Monday night a group of the coolest people I know gathered at the Goodale homestead to play a mysterious game. A while ago Harrison told us all of this magnificent game called: Quelf.

When I asked him what it was like he answered "It's kinda like The Game of 1,000 Cards...only different." Ok....that clears things up ???? Later we all got the notice that he had ordered the game and it had come in and we were all to gather and play, so we did.

LOOK! here are some of those cool people now!

And let me tell you... it. was. RIDICULOUS!!!!! Yeah. Pretty much the best game I've ever played. We laughed and laughed and did fantastically absurd 'stunts' including playing hide and seek, dancing and singing like a mournful weeping willow tree, licking someones elbows(if you could not lick your own) and awarding meaningless points to everyone after their turns.

After yelling and signing "QUELF IN THE LAND OF THE FARM!" a gazillion and three times we finished the game and headed outside. I played hairdresser and there was bubble blowing and and picture taking and such.

Then we ordered pizza and took a trip through the scarily skinny back roads of Coventry to find Papa T's pizza. Good pizza, good friends, good game, great night.

A quote

The other day I had the option of what is called "Full Service" - something to incourage students to come to school. If you come everyday, clock in on time and clock out when you are supposed to and come Saturdays you get to have your hair/makeup/etc. done for you - and for once I actually took advantage of it. This time I went all out and got myself a fancysmancy updo and had someone do my makeup for me. It was pretty cool.

So I go straight from school to the kids club end of year picnic. Then after chillen with my second grade peeps I headed to dance class. After an hour of jumping around(gracefully of course, it was ballet class after all) I was sweaty, tired, and ready to come home and crash. About 10 minutes after I walk in the door my little brother, owen, walks up to me, holds my hands, looks me in the eyes and says: "You look like you have a black eye...*pauses*"
Ok, I think...so maybe my makup was running a bit...
"but still...you. Look. BEAUTIFUL."
ah. What a good boy. I love my lil' bro. Lotsalots!!! I do. And he is always saying funny things.
